This privacy statement discloses the privacy practices of the Human Security Research Group, operating as the Human Security Report Project (HSRP). The HSRP is committed to protecting the privacy of those individuals who visit and interact with our websites. We manage and protect personal information according to provisions in British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act.

The HSRP is the sole owner of the information collected on or through its websites and other forms of  communication. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others. We do not collect any personally identifiable information about you unless you voluntarily submit such information to us by, for example, filling out a survey or registration form. The HSRP collects information from our users at several different points on our websites.


We use statistical software to analyze activity on our websites to help us manage and improve our services. We receive aggregated statistical information and do not track the website usage of individual people, companies, or domains. A "cookie" is a small data text file that is placed in your browser while you are using our site that allows us to recognize you as a repeat visitor. We do not use cookies that contain personal information or persistent cookies (files stored on your computer.)

The HSRP reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time. The most current version of the Privacy Policy will always appear here. Your continued use of HSRP websites after such change is made constitutes acceptance of, and agreement to be bound by, the terms of the Privacy Policy as modified.
