Overview: Publications

The Human Security Report and the Human Security Brief series track changing patterns of organized violence around the world and analyse their causes and consequences. All HSRP publications rely on quantitative data where available, use compelling images and graphics, and simple prose to ensure that findings are accessible to non-specialists. The miniAtlas of Human Security, which is now published in five languages, presents the HSRP’s findings in an accessible at-a-glance map format with accompanying text.

The HSRP’s flagship publication, the Human Security Report, is published by Oxford University Press. The HSRP also produces the complementary Human Security Brief series.

The miniAtlas of Human Security provides an at-a-glance guide to global security issues. It maps political violence, the links between poverty and conflict, assaults on human rights, and the causes of war and peace. It is available in a variety of languages and is co-published with the World Bank.
